Back in May, Vermont State University granted Max the Cat an honorary doctorate in "litter-ature." Apparently, the tabby has been a fixture on the campus for about five years. The friendly feline has made friends across campus including students and the Dean! 🐈🎓

You know I love my animal pals! I think seeing unlikely friends is one of the most wholesome things. Plussssss, today is National Dog Day, so a post that features a dog seems appropriate.
This isn't a new story, but it's one I just discovered recently, and I just HAD to share. Several years ago, photographer Tanja Brandt (Instagram: tanja_brandt) took a series of photos featuring a dog and an owl that are friends. It is absolutely adorable.
Ingo, the Maoilinois Belgian shepherd, became owlet Poldi's protector early on in life. Unfortunately, Poldi is no longer with us, but his life was filled with loving friendship. Ingo now has a new owl friend, Ronja, and their friendship is a strong as can be.

Today is national relaxation day, so I thought it would be a good day to share some mindfulness/guided meditation. Slowing down and being present in the moment is something I've been struggling a lot with lately. I think particularly in this day in age, with so many distractions like our cell phones, it can be hard to remember to just sit with our thoughts for a few minutes. Even when we're relaxing our bodies, it can be hard to relax our minds. Mindfulness and meditation can help with that!
