Ed Dwight - Dreams coming true at age 90

You're never too old to achieve your dreams!

Edward J. Dwight Jr. almost had a chance to go to space become the United States' first Black astronaut. Unfortunately, this didn't happen at the time.

Now, Dwight finally has the opportunity to go to space in June on a Blue Origin rocket thanks to the nonprofit organization, Space for Humanity. This will make him the older person ever to visit space.

Dwights story is one filled with hardship, but fortunately, it has a happy ending. To read more about Edward J. Dwight Jr. check out the news articles and video below!

I have gotten really into the New York Times Game, Connections. If you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should! If you like Wordle, you'll probably like this game as well.

Did you know May is Mental Health Awareness Month? Considering this blog is all about uplifting spirits and brining a little bit of happiness into your day, I feel like this is important to highlight. There's many things you can do to address your mental health, and I couldn't even begin to scratch the surface in a blog post. Today, I wanted to share one of my favorite self-care apps with you all - Finch!

It's like journalling and playing a game all rolled into one. On the Finch app, you create a little bird friend that goes on adventures. The app presents you with different tasks you can complete to earn rainbow stones. You can then use rainbow stones to buy clothes for your friend and decorate your friends home. These tasks include creating goals for the day, answering journal prompts, acts of kindness, and more!
